Lowering the polo

Featured Replies

If I bought an 80/60 lowering kit and some 13" 5.5 alloys would they not scrape on the arches? Any alloy recommendations too? Thanks

Depends on the offset of the alloys and the tyres. But standard offset on standard size tyres you should be ok. Just don't have the rear slammed.

I'm sure kwijibo or steveo will weigh in here ;)

As far as I know, if it's a coupe, you should be fine. If it's a breadvan, will depend on the offset and tyres.

As for alloys, if you're going for a period look, BBS RA, BBS Mahle, or look for some steels.

ATS Cups and ATS Classics both look great.

It's a Breadvan, so I'll have a look at some 13" 6j 4x100 alloys, I like bbs Ra's and ATS classics the best! And what offset would you recommend to not scrape?

13" BBS RAs are 5.5J and ET38. They would fit just fine. I'd say anything around that offset and no wider than 6j will be fine.

As for tyres going for a 175/60/13 should be spot on.
