  • It depends on what type of bbs they are. £280 is a big difference. I think you may be our most northern member. Welcome to the forum.

  • Is not proper bbs. It's lenso bsx. They just look similar, I don't have the funds for bbs haha. Thanks for the warm welcome mate :)

  • That's the wheels I'm looking at getting. That or the complete silver ones, I plan to wrap the car after winter gunmetal grey also

Just bought a 2000 polo 6n2 with 47k miles as a winter car but after seeing how clean it is I'm going to start it as a project. I was looking to get a new set of bbs deep dish style alloys. Was going to get 16x7.5 et35 . Today I spoke to a friend of mine and he has a set of borbet t 14x8 et25. What's everyones thoughts? The borbets are £280 cheaper but need refurbished

These bad boys on the way home for after winter! Got them 16x7.5 with a 195/40/16 tyre. Hopefully will fit nice, anybody have the same and if so were they an easy fit with no issues?

Years back when I was about 13 I imagined I would have a 6n for my first car with some of those calibre wheels lol used to look at all the wheels in performance vw dreaming about the car I didn't have

I only stumbled across it cheap as a winter car so looking forward to cleaning it up. First time ever doing something like this so kinda nervous

ever thought instead of spending money on those wheels you could get something oem'sh like 6n2 gti bbs alloys? porsche alloys?. the reason i said this is because i had lensos on my first car and they didnt last that following winter, laquar pealed off and the bolts started to rust the quality is not all that for the price I've paid for them.

Or some stock se rims and then lowering it with rest of cash.

Aah that's not so good mate, I've got good sealant coming home that will hopefully help. I never really thought it would be a problem if I'm honest. Coilovers are next on the list :)

So got the new wheels home today. Haven't had chance to fit them yet but this is how they look side on, look a lot bigger that I expected. babd35889f6e0f16ab2bac1a3b5df09c.jpgc71e4d5632b9faf4c42ffdc4004d680b.jpg

Looking good I love the red polos, flash red I think looks the same as my old Lupo :)

Thanks :) got some FK coilovers ordered tonight. Will get the wheels on once they come and see if some spacers for that back are needed.

Don't think it needs to be lowered much although I guess you will see when they are on, is the rolling radius the same?

Looks good

Yeah will hopefully get it down a wee bit, it's different unfortunately. Going to change the clock by 12% so will say its going faster than it is

ea8d8ba2cd6e48659f8a652d909695b4.jpg few hours cleaning today and a quick edit before going out in the rain again. Got some seat cupra front seats to put in tonight. The amount of peeling laquer and stone chips makes me sad.

I spent hours trying to fit the Leon cupra seats and had no luck, I think I need to make a bracket to fit them. Has anyone here ever fit Leon cupra front seats in a 6n2?

the wheels look really good, keep seeing 6n2's and I'm starting to want one

Think i need to get it a bit lower. Got plenty space everywhere from scrubbing ect. Just an inch or so I think would look pretty good. BBS caps came home and got some stickers for that extra +5bhp :)

Got the Premium Sticker home today so will get that on next wash. Had to get a wheel bearing replaced and now having problems with the heating in the car. Getting no hot air through the vents. Put it to a garage today and they fixed the thermostat but now the oil light keeps flashing up. Looks like no gti splitter for me this month :(
