just curious whats the differance for the derv cars

The only thing I can think of is they just decided to ditch the 867500051K for the Diesel 867500051 on the later models.

I was hoping when you first posted that it was the GT/G40 beam they were selling.

bugger all repair panels for the mk2s but derv rear beams ...yeah i bet theres hundreds of dervs parked up needing a beam

Buy them anyway and sell them on the mk1-3 Facebook group. Say they are from a Diesel 5 speed Polo. You'll make a fortune!

My guess is that the diesel one was stronger (bigger webbing perhaps), and that from 1985 they dropped the petrol one and just fitted them all with the stronger one. Would be interesting if anyone with a MK1 or early MK2 could find anything different about their beam.

My B-reg is February '85 (probably built with '84 parts then) and i'll have the beam off it on Monday, i'll see if there's any difference with the one on the Comet, which has a '90 Ranger beam on it.
