  • The '55 Ford now looks like this: Need to paint the chrome bits to finish it off. Yep, that's Pearl Grey haha! Picked these up this week, too: And some parts cars. Both Caddies, just different

  • Saw this in Bedford today £50 !!!

Quality typo was late though

Went to Asda.........no 356, they had a VW caddy but no Porsche........ Bit disappointed especially as down to £1.00.

I found another one earlier, but put it back. I've already drilled the rivets out of mine, and none of my other sets of wheels fit it or look as good as the ones it came with. So i clipped it back together and put it back on the shelf on its original wheels.

I don't think it's that rare, I've seen a few people who have more than one.

Love that Mustang, the only ones I've seen have decals I'm not keen on.

Yeah the decals are okay on the mustang...might have to find one next weekend, also like the mini!

£50 !!!

They're cool, smaller than the one I have but that's a good price.

Anyone after an Otto G40 by the way? I'm going to put mine up for sale, the spare I have in the attic, in the not-too-distant. Bought it just in case I screwed mine up, but I'm never going to get around to modifying mine so I might as well pass it on.

I might be tempted by it Alex :)

Hotwheels stuff is class at the minute, my son is mad about them, actually got a few Herbies from asda/poundland for £1 and they're on ebay for up to £20! Lidl had them a while ago too and managed to get the MK1 Escort from Fast n Furious 6 for £1, again up to £20 on ebay..................that one went into the display cupboard though lol

Have a massive collection of stuff, including a replica model of every car I've owned, here are a couple

Ahh that's a shame nige. Should get the other one too and then modify this one [emoji6]

I might do that, I've dismantled this one to see if it's possible to convert it to RHD ??

Haven't updated this for a while. Won't relay all the gory details but the '55 Ford ended up like this:

And then it stalled. I've had no time recently, but buying the red and "chrome" paint for the Ford meant I could touch in some missing details (headlights mostly) on other cars.

Tonight I've been back on it, though, spurred on by finding this in Asda. Yes... the graphic is gash... I've decided to paint it. But the model is cool and it has RealRiders which obviously I tried on other stuff.

The original plan was to put the wheels on the 356, so I tried other wheels on the T1. These are Matchbox wheels:

These are the wheels from the Ford (the arches are massive):

So basically it's ripe for modifying if you're feeling brave. Ironically though, mine's staying on the original wheels. I don't think they suit the 356.

But these do. They were on the Lincoln before:

Lincoln wheels really suit the 356, van looks cool as on the first wheels too

Nice touch ups on the headlights, never even thought of doing that lol I normally avoid the models where lights aren't painted. The R34 is quality :)

So I did buy the one in the same colour as my Octy

I didn't know Hot Wheels was doing a Gran Turismo series until today. How cool is this!

Got the silver Outlaw 356 too. The black one has ended up on steelies because I can't make my mind up. The silver one isn't going to be modified.

Speaking of modifying die cast cars, I was on the press launch for the new Mustang the other week. During the press conference, we were given a 1:18 scale Mustang model, and told to modify it using the scissors and various decals (flames, stripes, wood, letters etc) on our table. I got carried away, wound up using the scissors to drop the subframes and removed the springs to get it as low as possible.

We won:

Joining the plastic theme, I got this for my (33rd) birthday last week. Gotta love a bit of Lego:

Love the workshop one

Finally got my act together and worked on this yesterday:

The plan from the start with this was to make it look like a commercial vehicle. Slightly dull paintwork, no lacquer. It's come out exactly how I wanted.

Really thick paint on this one...
