I went from being at uni and working at a Subway sandwich shop, to working in a pretty damn local software company in the space of one month after graduation. I got real lucky. My manager is a top dude and is always fighting our corner, and he trusts me with new projects :-)

Just put the top on a Scooby pan. It won't be original but he won't care when it's running 12s..

It's a lancia flavia, water cooled flat 4 engine and monocoque chassis. I tried to convince him that something like a scimitar chassis would be a good idea (no need for IVA) but he wasn't interested. Still only halfway through a massive ford anglia job so it's gonna be at least another couple of months before I can start on any of the other big projects, hopefully he'll of lost interest in this one by then.

Just got a call to do a 200 mile round trip to measure two shelves.

Last person who went didn't know how to use a tape measure and cost the firm I'm working for £400 for two failed installs.

And the best bit is, I can work out from the picture they took exactly what size the shelves are.

That sounds bizarre, it is amusing what sort of people we have knocking about nowadays. Pepple with normal skills like using a tape measure or being able to read instructions are slowly dying out in our country.

Atleast people like you in your work can reap benefits
