I'm quite a simple guy so the cars I find memorable are a bit boring compared to all these examples, but I'll share them anyway.

In 2006 I went to a filming of Top Gear and got to sit in a Lotus Exige S, the same white one that Jeremy nailed round the test track on the video. So everytime I see that episode I like to remind myself that I've sat in that very car :)

Last year I bought a LHD G40 from Chris2911 off here. He is the owner of the one and only RHD G40 Genesis. So I've seen and touched that car which to me as a Polo geek was quite a big thing. I have pictures to prove but Chris forbids me to share these on the forum :(

Still on the bucket list though is to sit in a Ferrari F40...or even drive one if anyone is stupid enough to let me. To me that is exactly what a car should be.

The Ferrari F40 to me is the best looking car in the world. That's it. If I won the lottery I would buy one and drive it as a one off show car, I would probably be scared to drive it...maybe have two and one as a daily lol

There was an article once when an F40 went for a service and the garage test drove it and binned it into a farmers wall. I was genuinely upset.

That is special the exige, I like some non exotic cars just as much too, one of the cars I have loved the most in my life was a prelude 2.2vtec, they aren't rare but less common than the rest, the noise filled the cabin like nothing else I've been in and I've been in a few loud cars...even driven a merc SL600 which didn't feel as good. The noise was good but it didn't penetrate the cabin and make you really feel it!

I've always said the first car I'd buy if I won the lottery would be a Ferrari F40. And I would drive the bollocks off of it. They have high servicing costs though, for example every 10 years the fuel tanks need changed at a cost of £13,000 last time I checked. But I'm sure the experience would be worth it.

Have you seen the Chris Harris video on YouTube F40 vs F50? That is a great review of an F40 and he drives it properly :)

I've never been a fan of properly exotic cars like Lambos or anything. I like watching reviews of them all but I don't think I'd ever own one if I had the choice. I like a few choice Ferrari's, F40, F430, 250 GT California to name a few. Everything else I like is just more classic and fast mainstream stuff. Old hot hatches, BMW M cars, Porsche 911's etc.

I'm much the same really...when I fantasise I still dream of having the breadvan but fully rebuilt nut and bolt lol my mates at work say I'm lying to myself and I would get rid of it as soon as I won the lottery but I would like to think they are wrong

I like changing things and making them my own and unique so I would never see myself in a regular supercar like a common as muck 458. That's why I posted the 911 sport classic...I could pull up next to a 918 or a 2.7rs and not be ashamed because of how little of them have been made and proper replicas can't be made of it. Porsche deliberately won't repoduce the same parts lol

I love that AC Cobra. I'm not sure what car I would want or dream of. Not a fan of this new modern super car era, do love the old school. God knows what I would buy if I had the money.

Well saying that, actually I'd def have a G40 but I would have it totally restored/rebuilt. But I'd really love a MK4 Golf R32 and get it supercharged or turbo'd. I'm weird, but love the car!

f355 was the best for me. remember seeing it on top gear when little. could have been 96 or 97 year. jeremy loved it.

My dream car has always been the jaguar XJ220.

I once stumbled upon a motor museum beside a furniture shop in a small town called Tillicoultry. I'd never heard of it before and it was only something like £3 to get in. I thought it will be old crap that some farmer has put together but because the parents were furniture shopping I decided to take a nosey.

Inside was an amazing collection of cars from older Astons to modern Ferraris. The place was surprisingly big. However the crowning jewel was a jaguar XJ220. It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and my stomach drop. This was a car that I'd seen in videos, had as a poster on my wall and had a model of on my shelf. The tyres on the rear were something like 335mm wide. I loved it. I've never felt emotion like that towards a car before or since.

Loved the look of my old g40, seen hundreds of Porsches etc but love my old polo.

We have a little annual motorshow in CMK shopping mall, and when i was in my late teens (driving by this time, had a beige Escort) i was walking round and admiring cars such as Mazda MK1 MX5, Porsche 911 Carrera 2 (on D90s!), final version of the Sierra Cosworth, Lotus Carlton.. and then i found a Lamborghini Diablo. Which i promptly sat in.

To be honest, the driving position of a nearby Vauxhall Carlton Diplomat was more comfortable (couldn't sit in the Lotus), but wow, it was a real sense of occasion sitting in the Diablo.
