Been searching, but can't find a decent thread, 6n2 dash into the 6n, the wiring? Do I need the 6n2 interior loom?,

Thanks Nemo, sure did! essentially its just re-wiring of the 6n2 connectors onto the 6n loom, in that thread nemo linked you'll find the wiring diagrams you'll need :)

Well, not really done a lot, finally got myself a garage!, currently in the middle of changing up the front brakes to 16v/gti ones, but one drive shafts being an arse!,

 

now it its in a garage I can actually leave things off ready for me to just carry another day rather then having to put it back together roughly when I've finished for the day! No more moany neighbors!

Been a while!, but, things have started happening again now!, engine is pretty much out!, ready to start smoothing the engine bay, I'm going down the route of abs delete and power steering delete!, I want it smooooooth!, nothing there that doesn't need to be, hopefully going to make 6n2 top mounts fit because in my opinion they look cleaner, a lot of people say I shouldn't because of what car it is but, you only live once, and I'm building the car to how I want it... not everyone else, also in talk with a few company's to detriment my interior! It will be a slow process because I will be a dad in a few months!, hence the slow progress on the car!, 

So, the engine is out, started cleaning up the bay, plan for today is push the car from my garage to out side my house and start in the sealant stuff around the turrets, and a general glean up, found another bit of rot :(,being priced up in the next few hours hopefully!, new sub frame is needed because my one has holes in it ?, strugerling to get the rack out tho..., any ideas? Got new wishbones, gti hubs with full brake set up!!

If you want parts, please use the classified section and make a wanted advert, as those people who might have the items won't be looking in the build threads for items wanted

Had a few more hours out at the car today!, got an idea for a different dash swap to the usual 6n2 swap, I'll be surprised if anyone can guess it!, will 100% need modifying and a custom dash loom, all new to me so I may reveal the swap sooner then I plan for a bit of help but I'm going to try donit myself, done a bit more to the engine bay, looking forward to doing the car now, so much more motivation for it now!, 

I can't wait to see her finished.  I love the retro 6n dash so keeping mine as is, but can't wait to see what you achieve.

Will be a little while yet, many things I plan on doing, but she will get the eventually :) 

So, a little while ago my headlights go broken, so today I replaced them!, with something much better then standard! In my opinion! 

So, whilst out at the car the other day I noticed a bit more rot! Not to much! But it's where the heater matrix comes out in the scuttle!, for the dash swap I want to do I'm going to need the heater matrix from the same car as the dash, so... I'm thinking I'll get a plate welded in we're the rot is, which will fill delete the matrix induction? If that's what it's called, and cut out a new opening for the new matrix?, will this be okay? I can't see why it won't but just checking with my fellow polo lovers! 

 

This is the matrix I need to fit!, if you know what it's from message me!, but please don't post on the thread! ?

Unfortunately becoming a dad and having our own place as a family meant I sold the harlequin, it’s being put back to complete standard, so keep an eye out.
