front coilover springs thin or pigtail

I've just fitted coilovers to my 6n2 as it came in the box with both front and rear springs the same thickness but I also had 2 fatter pigtail springs loose in the box. Should I have fitted the pigtail ones or the thin ones. Also should I fit the original bumpstops inside the spring. Thanks I advance
