2002 polo headlight

Hello all I took my nsf indicator bulb out as it was no longer flashing amber but when I put it back in it would not work. I have now found out why the wire with conector on it that should be in the light for the bulb holder to contact once turned has came out. Has anyone ever had this happen before or does anyone know how I refit it as its inside the headlight unit witch from what I can see is near impossible to get your fingers into to replace it I need to have this fixed for next Tuesday as it goes back in for its mot retest thanks in advance
