My daily 6n saloon project

Featured Replies

So after my last car decided to spectacularly blow up I needed a cheap run around that I'd be happy driving daily and could modify as I went along.

Wanted another polo for a while but due to having two young kids had to be 4 door and have a big boot. So when this saloon with only 56k on the clocks popped up I had to have it.

Was completely standard when I got it and this is how it looked.

So the first thing was to make and fit a cat back exhaust. Rear section was sourced from one being broken an adapted to fit.

Then after lots of searching and deciding I got some new wheels. 15 inch polished Remotec A's. Had a few issues fitting them as had to get the centres professionally bored out to 57.1 to fit..

Managed to pick up some nice mk3 colour concept leathers locally. So front went straight in and I'm halfway through adapting the rears to fit

Wheels look smart man! Don't make the mistake in presuming stuff from a 6n fit. They mostly certainly do not! Made the mistake a few times haha

The headlights on.the polo.are a different angle so.you have to cut the surround around the headlight to get it to fit properly. But doesn't quite clip in.right asclips are in a slightly different place. It was only temperary till my seat grill is Debadged and resprayed.

I was afraid it was smaller on the sides, I love this grill, I think I'm gonna try to mod so that it fit
