112 odd thousand miles. MOT until September 2016.

I got this car on 108k, lowered a bit on BBS solitudes. I have proceeded to replace most perishable parts, MOT it and generally give it the TLC it deserved.

Just a few weeks ago, we notched and lowered the car down on some nice 16 inch BBS RX2.

It was then stolen.

They pinched my wheels, jacked up the sill on the driver side and bent the drivers door open.

I persevered, changed the door - sprayed it and fitted some 16 x 6.5 steels with new 165/40/16 tyres.

5mm spacers to clear the coilovers

Front arches rolled

costs nothing to run, and is quite fun to drive

paint comes up nice bar the drivers door

Wiring for speakers to the rear

Uncut parcel shelf

Numerous spares in the boot

Snap off 350mm momo

A/C model. blows ice cold

Bad Bits;

wings and front bumper drilled for quickrelease

Electric windows are shot but the drivers has a windy one on the new door

drivers door is painted really badly and still red on the inside

Nearside wing is battered from wheel contact

the turning circle is a joke

airbag light is on

general wear and tear - body is knocked and scratched as to be expected

small chip in windscreen (not mot failure)

offside rear arch starting to bubble, but not too far gone as of yet

rear sill jacked up from when it was stolen

power steering pump leaks

Now, the major issue. - I hit a raised manhole cover with the drivers side of the subframe, where the wishbone mounts. Now i have raised the front as high as the coilovers will go, and inspected it. It will require a new subframe, but still drives, abeit the tracking is out. It caused the driveshaft to rub on the notch, its not as serious as it looks. I think its only moved around 10mm back as the driveshaft still rubbed when turning right even with the notch (i have photos of this)

the car is currently at my place of work in leeds city centre. I dont have time or space to break it, the engine wheels and suspension are worth the asking price alone. If i had the means i would be repairing it, i love this little car to bit. It costs me about 300 quid a year fully comp, and runs spot on. It would be perfect for an engine conversion should someone wanna go that way (this is the original reason i bought the car).

I also have a set of solitudes in average condition with sub 1k unbranded tyres on. These are in Leek, stoke on trent.

got sick of people offering me 200 quid for it. so I've replaced the subframe, wishbones, bushings and balljoints.

will take offers on this. it runs perfect, the shell just needs a little tlc.

yo, got a lowball 300 for you. Would be pulling the engine out straight away and sticking it another car and scrapping it. I've got the space to break it if you wanted to take the wheels / coilies / brakes, exhaust etc and make up the shortfall.

these 6n valvers are kinda becoming thin on the ground. Theres hardly any for sale or decent ones for sale and most already been scrapped for the engines. Guarantee prices will soon rise. GLWS

Sucks it got nicked and damaged, people are dicks. I sort of want this back as I miss it and prefer it not to be bought and broken, though I don't have much time to travel over the next couple of weeks due to uni deadlines and medical stuff :/ guessing you want rid ASAP?

it's all fixed now and drives spot on again, repaired it for less than 160 quid. I've also rectified a lot of the little niggles listed above.

I'd rather keep it myself than let it go to a breaker. I don't need the money so I don't know why people are offering me 300 quid like I'm a desperate teenager haha. I wanted someone else to have the opportunity to have a decent project but obviously club polo isn't like that anymore.

well I'd take what I gave you for it on solitudes. it wants absolutely nothing mechanically, just a few bits of bodywork tidying up. I can't edit my add but since I've chucked another 300 quid at it over the past two weeks I won't be taking 600 quid for the entire car. If you don't wanna take it back I'll probably just keep it forever ha.

inc engine, i've started listing off bits on ebay. If its not gone within a month i'll be scrapping the job lot. seems a shame but i'm fed up of looking at it now and i need the space for my track car.
