I'd like to give my car a serious clean, the under carriage, arches & engine bay, all the hidden areas, but not sure what it will take to achieve that.

Will I need to entirely strip it to its shell & remove the engine or is there a quicker method?

My goal is to restore my car to a like new state, with my own personal twist on it...Any advice & guidance would be great, if there is a post that covers this please tag it into comments for me as I've not seen it yet??
