Bmw bottle cap wheels on mk2?

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Found some bottle caps on ebay real close to where I live and probably going to pick them up! BUT! I've done some research and found nothing to do with mk2 polo's but lots on mk1/2 golf's. Apparently they won't fit Becuase of a "centre bore" Being too small? Could someone tell me if they'd fit? Thanks a lot!

Damn! Beat me to it.... Definitely going to need some low profile tyres if they're going on a breadvan

Forgot to add they are from an E30 so they are 4x100 and 14inch:)

If the centre bore is too small you can always have it machined out. Not sure on costs but it is possible.

It only really makes a different to the back face of the wheel where the lip is.

I think i'm right in saying the bore on a MK2 is 57.1mm, but I could be wrong. What is the bore on the wheels?

Yep its 57.1mm on a mk2. And it cost me £100 to have my alloys machined out.

However I'm sure I've seen bottle tops on a mk2 bready on here somewhere!

I personally like the bottle tops. It's totally up to you though :D

Just be aware that even with the smallest of tyres, you may still get some scrubbing. You may have to roll the arches.

Well my current wheels are 7j and these are 6j? Although they are 14s I suppose!

7j on a breadvan? They must be fricking tight.

Yeah they are only 13s but they poke a little all round! Not keen on them as they are like some Halfords jobby done by the previous owner!
