[SOLD] MK2F straight middle pipe exhaust with CAT and standard rear box

Featured Replies

okay may be some one might be interested in this. first and foremost due to size this will be purely for collection only if you want this. I can not post nor deliever.

The new middle box was cut and mild steel pipe from ebay (£10) was fitted in the middle (not welded just used clamps to tighten). better if you can weld all joints to get rid of any leaks or blows. Then it was connected to standard rear box with another joint. It was not loud and the whole purpose of doing this was to stop middle box from getting rubbed on speed bumps due to being lowered. It still did rub after but i found out that due to having no hanger to hold on the middle it was rubbing. so if you want to put this on your polo, you will need to atleast weld a hanger in the middle. The centre pipe has a joint fitted to make it adaptable to rear exhaust. As far as i know there is no blows or leaks. I was planning to cut the rear box and fit some after market exhaust such as disgusting cherry bomb, that way you get more sound without the middle box and make a lot of disturbance in the country?

the middle pipe has discoloured but i do believe wire brush will bring the original steel colour back

and if you want to put this on a lowered polo you will be better off welding a hanger and use powerflex hanger and it wont rub on the ground. if you want to put this on a standard polo then no issues with rubbing.

I also have a catalytic convertor with lambda sensor fitted in used condition.

Complete exhaust with cat £30

Collection from Bedford.

Thanks for looking
