Just to introduce myself.. I am a massive obsessive compulsive dubber and seem to acquire the dubs no-one loves any more..I attempt to fix and paint (usually make matters worse) but at least i try haha

Heres ziggy my massive project at the mo

He is so rusty..theres a valve stuck in the engine as well.. Wires and pipes in the engine have been cut he needs a good overhaul so I'm taking him apart to practice my mechanical skills and learning to weld on that bad boy!

This is a good gathering here and you will get good advice and help along the way with your resto ..

hahaha seems to be the case.. I'm hoping ziggys rust looks worse then it is..weld him, Sandblast him and give him a good paint as well as new bits and hopefully he will perk up and be the good old vw he used to be
