Polo GTI engine conversion for sale. Engine has covered 63160 miles so is low milage considering the age of the car. Engine pulls very strong through all the gears. No crunches from the box which is always a relief. Temp stays where it should. Looks like it's had a new alternator recently. I don't have any history with it but the MOT history backs up the milage.

If you renquire any other parts for the conversion let me know. I have the OEM exhaust which is overall in good condition other than a blow from the flexi but any decent exhaust place should be able to fix this for a few quid. 

 

Collection from Newcastle Upon Tyne or if you wish to arrange a courier that's fine. All I'd require is an extra £15 for a pallet and to buy some straps to tie it down. 

 

Price wise I'm looking for £400 which I feel is fair given the milage but am willing to listen to sensible offers.

How hard is the conversion, would anything else be needed or just removal of the parts supplied and fitting the new ones 

Yeah just remove your engine, box, wiring loom. Replace with the new stuff. Also need to change the transponder box and transponder in your key. Alternatively I can supply the full lock set with key if you prefer.

 

Could be done in a weekend. Day to strip yours down. Day to rebuild as a GTI. 

 

 

Transponder box? Also would the loom from the dash need doing? Like clocks and ecu etc.

The GTi engine bay loom will plug into your bulkhead disconnect and that includes the engine ECU loom, the internal loom doesn't need changing, just the immob box from under the dash along with it's matching transponder chip to put into your existing key

Plenty of time wastars who have made offers and said they will have it and dropped a bollock when it comes to the day of buying.

 

One person I've went out of my way to take off extra parts for them free of charge, even bought tools to do it. So that was nice of them.

 

Due to that I also now have all the locks, steering column, full front subframe with wishbones, ARB and steering rack, cat back exhaust, rear axle with ARB, front panel with rad, aircon rad and all the aircon pipes IIRC extra which I'm happy to chuck in if you want them.

 

Willing to listen to sensible offers from serious buyers. Please do your homework on the conversion before contacting me. I'm a nice guy but I've spent weeks advising people for them to just not buy because their dog died, or they lost their job, or they just had an unexpected bill come in on the day they are collecting it. Advice for weeks and no sale seems to be the common trait of the time wasters.

 

If you're serious but either can't come collect straight away or don't have all the money I'm happy taking a non refundable deposit to hold it.
