Mk2 Coupe boot latch HELP?!

Featured Replies

Hey. My boot has been closed shut for almost a year now due to someone slamming it shut too hard and now it doesn't open! The only way I can get it open is to get inside the boot through the back and prise it open with a screwdriver

I have also read somewhere that they are different from the mk2 bready boot latches too.

Has anyone got a tailgate or a latch kicking about or where abouts I could find one?

The more complete the better :D

Thanks guys

  • Facelift one is different as the boot release is in the plinth over the numberplate.   Mk2 coupe and bready ones are interchangable. Saloon is different (uses a Scirocco lock).

Is it the same as the latch on a 2f, I have a boot lid here that's just been removed, boot is scrap but latch is fine

I will have to see if they're the same thing. I've read they're a mk2 thing only.
