polo GT coupe

Got a pretty much standard GT coupe for sale. The only mods it has are polybushes in the rear axle, after market dash speakers, after market stereo and a 'poloace' ECU chip.

Since buying this car I found it had the wrong dizzy on which was making it very flat in the top of the rev range. This has been replaced with the correct one and new cap and rotor arm fitted, the car now pulls nicely throughout the rev range. don't let its mileage put you off, its a nice strong engine and will carry on for a long time yet. I've also replaced a worn rear wheel bearing.  

It drives really well and pulls surprisingly well for a little 1.3. Its clearly been well looked after mechanically  during its life, I've had a few mk2/f polos over the years and this is one of the best I've had in terms of how well it drives.

the interior is in good condition although with the carpets being grey they could do with a wet vac or something to bring them up to the same sort of condition as the rest of the interior. i will get some interior photos tomorrow.

although in mechanically good shape it does have some cosmetic issues. there is lacquer peel on the drivers wing, and a slight scrap near the drivers side rear light, it also has some scratches on the roof and other age related marks around the car. There is also some rust bubbling starting next to the windscreen on the passenger A post, this could be cleaned up and treated easy enough but I would rather leave it as is so any potential buyers can see whats there rather than worrying about what sort of bodge might be hiding under the mismatched pant there would be there if I sorted it. Unfortunately some one has also roughly cut out a part of the rear bumper above the exhaust tip. 

all in all this is a good little car that would make an excellent base for a light project, or even just a cool little retro daily. if you are looking for a 1 owner mint conditioned example this isn't it, but it is a presentable and reliable example of a fairly rare model of this polo that you can get in and use it as intended. its a good honest car that has all of its bad points on show.
