What colour should a MK2F GT/3F dipstick ring-pull be?

 

Mine is yellow.

 

I read recently that G40 ones are red, and that using any other will give a false reading.

 

The oil level in my GT isn't consistent and often shows over, even though I have been putting in a measured 3.2L every oil change.
