Hi, apologies if this sounds like a total noob question, but I'm confused. I'm inheriting a Polo 6n2 in the next couple of weeks which still has the stock cassette stereo installed. I have a JVC CD Stereo with aux input that I want to install instead that I took out of my previous car, a Saxo, which has standard ISO connectors. Do I need any sort of wiring adaptor (such as the PC2-69-4 adaptors which can be bought off eBay) or will it install straight in? Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times before, but I just can't find a standard answer anywhere.

Well I tried installing the stereo at the weekend, only to discover that there must be a loose connection inside the stereo itself. It works perfectly while it is still outside of the middle console, but as I push it back into place in the cage the sound balance moves between passenger side only and driver side only which seems to indicate a loose connection. The connecting plugs are a good fit and don't move at all, which makes me think the problem is inside the stereo itself where the connecting wires are attached. I've gone back to using the stock Gamma stereo with a tape aux adaptor.
