Ratmos Turbo Breadvan

It seems to be taking forever but there is light at the end of the tunnel. The exhaust is the last thing to do and then I can think of attaching the gearbox and cranking the engine over to make sure I have oil pressure. Also on the go is an adapter for a trigger wheel that bolts on just on the outside of the crankshaft pulley so I can have wasted spark ignition in the future. It made a lot of sense to do this before the engine goes in. The plan is to wire the TPS,MAT, CLT and injectors temporarily to the assembled engine and gearbox so it reduces the amount of setting up of the Megasquirt. Although it has been suggested that it is not needed, a local engineering company is making some 30mm diameter axles. It has been a problem finding someone who can mill splines but I found a company that has a tradesman that has the bravery to do it. There is a little body work to do. Part of the offside sill needs replacing. The front wings used to have the side repeaters in them but they have been replaced with the blank ones. So  I am going to look at replacing them but in a different position. After a few months now the Mini wheels have been very successful and transform the handling. The only downside is that the 50 profile tyres don't absorb the bumps as well so I am hoping softer dampers will make a difference. Today I finished the petrol tank which has a larger outlet and return pipe. Also the rusted filler pipe has been replaced and a rubber hose is going to replace the section between the tank and the filler but I think there has to be a way to fix the filler to the bodywork to stop it falling out.
