Anyway I am 17 and passed my test in August, I have got a 1998 polo 6n 1.4 and can't find anywhere to get insurance at a decent price. Has anyone got any ideas on where I could try, Thanks in advance. 

The best thing to do is ring around. One insurer might be cheap for some but expensive for others.

What type of prices were you getting?

You could also try going in as a named driver.

I've been getting about £2500 upwards and for some reason being a named driver isn't making it much cheaper

I'm afraid that there are so many factors with car insurance. Being 17 and first time driver you may just have to cough up the money, soon as your first year is over it should drop a nice amount.

when I first passed I was insured with Adrian flux with a black box , I was paying 2k when I declared my coil overs , but I learnt the hard way not to choose a black box if your gonna speed , now I'm paying 4k cuz it was cancelled its better to pay more at the beginning for no black box .
