Polo gti 6n2 2001 1.4 conversion

Hi

My gti engine went and I had a 1.4 16v polo already so I used the engine from that because I couldnt afford a new engine and needed to get it running asap. It had the gti intake Mani, gti throttle body which is a lot bigger, exhaust rebuild from manifold, bigger pipe no mid box and the gti head. It runs okay but the lamdba sensor wires are corroded and its miss firing a bit. I'm not sure if its going to run properly even with the lambda sensor in so I was wondering if I would HAVE to get it remapped or is there anything else I can do to get it to run properly?
