Just a few new pics! I've been thinking about what to do with the G40 for ages - keep it, sell it. keep it, sell it. keep it, sell it. keep it, sell it. keep it, sell it. Decided to keep the car, but to restore it to as factory looks, but with mildly upgraded brakes and suspension, rebuild the head with a performance can and vernier and generally use it alot more.

I started this morning with this:-

After an afternoons work, removing the towbar, removing the colour coded bumpers, removing a few stickers and other bits and pieces.

I've now got this:-

Going to fit some new tyres, do some repair work to the battery tray and then get my spare head rebuilt and have some fun. Also need to get new discs and pads ASAP, plus may as well sort out a 22mm master cylinder too!

Bloody car is pissing me off again! Been using it as my main car for the last few runs to and from work to stretch its legs! It puffs blue smoke when you rev it a little and the crankshaft toothed pulley has split!!! Yes you heard me right! The pulley has an inner collar which stops the belt coming off, well its come away from the main pulley and is spinning around taking chunks out of the timing belt cover! Doh!

get some red pinstriping put in the bumper groove!

Got loads of things planned, refurb a pair of front hubs with new wheel bearings, replace the crapy suspension kit with a Phil J 40mm kit, new rear axle bushes, new TCA's, New steering arms, rebuild the spare head I have (along with a few new goodies too!)

After many years of ownership - its time to move onto bigger, newer things so G40 is SOLD! New owner comes tomorrow to collect it!
