Difference between 3dr and 5dr 6R boots?

Hi everyone, I recently got a middle parcel shelf as my car didn't come with one but it doesn't fit in my boot as its too small. Is the 5 door boot larger than the 3 door it came from or is there extra trim I'm missing to make it work?
