Get some epoxy 121 on it , check out rustbusters.co.uk out.. 

Bit of an update. My suspension arrived and starting building up my rear axle but come across a couple of hiccups. First being that the existing bumpstops were quite worse for wear and the second being that when putting the rear drums back together an adjuster spring snapped. No big issues but due to the turbo failing on my daily i have zero pennies to spend on the polo :( 

Axle is now back together and on the car along with the fuel tank. Just got to replace a brake line then I will be moving onto the front end which will no doubt be a huge headache
