This being my first Polo I thought I should start a build thread. I paid £1500 for it. 

It is a 5 speed 1.3 CL Model, with around 33k on the clock. Only 1 previous owner but was a dealership car for the first 5 years of it life where is saw most of it miles. The old guy only did about 150 miles between each MOT, and has a full service history. This car was from Whites Of Wimbeldon wich as no closed down. The car still has the orginal number plates and same windows and Whites Of Wimbeldon sticker in rear and same orginal side strips. I am going to keep this car as orginal as i can, so only lowering about 60/40 and getting some new wheels, nothing over the top. So no new engine or interior, Sorry 

The body work is great with only a few dings here and there. The car has no rust, as was kept in a garage for most of its life, so never saw any bad weather and was always cleaned and dryed after every drive. The interior is in such good condition, the boot and back seats where said to never of been used. 

So my plans are to lower it by 60/40 and put some ats classics on it, but first i got everything that need it renewed. I bought some new struts, springs, shocks, anti-roll bar bushes and lower arms. I also changed the rear lights to the semi black ones as fill these suit the car better. The car is now lowered. The bbs in the pictures have been sold as didnt like them.

I will try my best to keep this thread up to date with pictures and info. Please ask me anything about it or tell me what i should do to it next. Help will be very much appreciated.  P.S i changed the rocker cover.

When I read you'd paid £1500 for it I was a little shocked, but seeing the pictures further down and seeing how clean it is, I can see it was worth the money.

Hi again just thought i would give a little update on the polo. She has just been treated to new wheels and tyres but unfortuantly the tyres are the wrong size and look to big for the car. The wheels are Dare rs sliver on sliver. They are 15x7 4x100 et 20, i bought some yokohoma tyres to go with it (195/50/15) and got them all fitted to realize the tyres are to big and rubber on nearly everything. so if any could help me decide what tyres to go for to fit my wheels that would be great, i am looking to go for 185/45/15. Also the yokohoma tyres are for sell brand new just give me a message if you are intrested.

Absolutely loving that! Think the strips down the side really make it. Top work.

That looks amazing, refreshing to see one being cleaned up and just given a moderate drop on some lovely wheels. Perfect! 

Nice to see the result of your work, do you have any pictures/descriptions of how you got to this state ? as I'm sure people would be interested in this
