A few months a go, I had my stock Mk2 wheel nuts chromed. They looked good and achieved the effect I wanted. But they are rusting despite asking for them to be triple plated. (copper, nickel, chrome) The company that did the chroming, have said that this happens but I feel sure a better job could be done. I live beside the sea which makes it worse. All the company could suggest was to put vaseline on the bolts to prevent corrosion. Does anyone have any tips to improve on this including alternative stainless, stud nut conversions ?
