Hello all looking for a bit of guidance my wippers work for a bit then decide to stop in park position so I then need too play with the stock up and down to try and get them to work again. My question is how to I find out if it's the stock at fault or motor? Thanks

OK the wipers are controlled via the Onboard Supply Control Unit, in the wiring diagrams it shows a relay that does the switching to the motor, but I can't see if it's a replaceable external relay or if it's internal to the control unit, if you have access to VCDS/Vagcom it might give a fault code that could point to the control unit/relay or the column switch, or it might just be a dirty contact in the motor unit

I think it's the relay as it ticks just b4 the wippers come on and then when they go off (intermittent mode) and then like half a tick and they don't go on and as you move the stock up the speeds you can here what modes the relay is trying to make contact but still no movement on wippers but u don't get the tick from the relay all the time on the different sppeds it's as if it's a intermittent fault on relay witch is causing the intermittent wippers fault. Also the rear wiper picks when it wants to work so could this run off the same system? ??????????????
