2017 Scottish Meet 9th April

Featured Replies

I'm trying to organise a little meet up for the Scottish guys.

Setting a provisional date just now of the 9th April.

But we just need to decide what to do.

Crail is on that weekend and Dundee area is usually quite central for most of us, but it is a Ford weekend for them so probably won't be much to look at for us.

We could always just meet up in Dundee and go for a drive, grab some lunch, find some nice parking spots or whatever?

Also just to make a point to any new comers, Club Polo members in Scotland are few and far between so if you want to attend you'll need to travel. Dundee is 100miles away for me alone. We would love to have more regional meets but the numbers don't make that possible so we have to group the whole of Scotland together as one.

Stonehaven has been suggested as a location so wouldn't be so far for you if we met there.   I'm sure your car will be fine on a run though and you'll be in safe hands if anything does go wr

  • If your needing any mk2 parts let me know, heaps of random bits that will get binned otherwise.

I would prefer a daytime meet personally. If that is ok with everyone else then lets go for that.

I'll be there, not in a Polo, but maybe in a VW.

Will it be a daytime meet? Can't really be away for more than half a day.

Hello! I shall pencil this in my diary! Not sure tbh about the distance as I haven't driven it much at all since last summer but there's no reason why it shouldn't make the journey!

Will confirm by next week :)

Cool, that would be a lot easier for me!

it would be good to get some opinions actually from other owners as to what to do with some of the bodywork/interior issues!

Can we have a confirmation on whether it's a day time meet or the usual evening affair? I'm up for either, it just let's me plan my Saturday night.

Cheers,

Scott

Not sure if this happened but sorry I couldn't make it - did manage to get the polo out though for the first time this year  and finally stuck some new plates on her.

Next Sunday is the plan, still think Stonehaven is the location.

Yup lets go for that, Sunday 9th, Stonehaven say 12noon? Looks like the leisure centre is an easy place to find and has a car park we can meet everyone at.

Reminder for tomorrow guys.

12 noon, Stonehaven leisure centre. AB39 2RD.

Meet in the car park between 12 and 1pm.

Go for food,

Go for a drive,

Get some pictures and just have a good time Poloing.

Everyone is welcome even if you can't turn up in a Polo.
