Electric windows, passenger side stuck

I don't have a lot of mechanical experience so I apologise if this is something simple. The electric window in my front passenger side door doesn't work, it's stuck closed. When I press the switch there's a clicking noise from the door but the window doesn't go down. Does anybody have any experience with this? I'm thinking that as there's a click that the switch works, but it sounds like either the motor doesn't work or the glass has come off the guides and become wedged shut. Any opinions?
