Hi..all

 

As with others I too am having trouble finding this place to plug the CCU into.. I took a photo of the underside of the foot pedals... However I don't know where this should go...

 

Also which Flip Key to get for it... I too only have a non remote key and don't know exactly, yet,  which key to get for the Comfort unit. 6Q0 959 433 H  ( This was off a same reg 5 door 9N3 as mine is so i thought this would be the best one to get)

 

I have seen re-manufactured flip keys with Blanks on eBay as others here have used. They are the original VW circuitry from fobs just inserted into non OEM cases. I can put my transponder in that.  Some will even cut blanks from photos supplied!

 

I want to fit the CCU unit first obviously.. I suppose this would not stop the car functioning even without a remote key in the short term? Just no remote opening.. yet?

There is some extra wiring already in there (on RH side from an Alarm that was new fitted before delivery of the car) Not been working for years now and too costly to repair .. They said a new one would be cheaper.. well they would wouldn't they :)
