Hello polo people, simple enough polybush or powerflex and any other company/brand that people would recommend for mk2-mk3 bushes. I brought some ARB blocks from another member on here and I want to change pretty much all the suspension and steering rubbers for polyurethane. For a fast road project

I'd personally recommend going for nylon instead of polyurethane.

Polo Performance Parts, Bar-Tek Tuning or Max RPM, all sell nylon bushes to replace most of the rubber bushes and they are the same price if not cheaper than 'powerflex'.

Also if you want to really improve the handling, I'd also recommend a stage 2 subframe from PPP. That makes a real difference to how these cars go round corners.

Cheers guys nylon it is then, i want it to handling to be spot on, iv got some adjustable coilovers and a GT rear axle I am after a stage 2 sub frame but need to save up. iv also considered getting an extra front roll bar, are they any good? 

Ive got one on mine and may not make any difference at all, was there before the subframe 

 

Can only add strength though and may take a hit instead of the subframe 

The GED bar as they used to be called will add a little strength to the front end, but a subframe is the best thing for them.

A GT rear axle will be a good upgrade for the handling too.

If you want It to be good on the road, then pretty much all the best driving  (not the lowest or the fastest of the coolest), I've seen have had:

 

Good quality tyres 165 or 175 

Well aligned wheels

HnR 40mm shocks and springs

Ged bar (mainly 2fs,  mk2s have a lower valance which helps with the stiffening

 

I'm not into getting it as low as possible, I'm going to go for some 13x6" or 7" wide steel wheels probably Weller's if I can get any, then play around with my coilovers for ride hight and if it breaks my spine. Change pretty much all the rubbers for nylon bushes, other then the top mount bearings got some 6n ones that are meant to be better, then stage 2 sub frame and I'll be happy. 

I've not tried nylon bushes but I went for Powerflex bushes in the TCAs so that there was some compliance in the suspension to absorb road shocks. If the ARB blocks are solid and you then fit nylon bushes, the only thing to absorb any of the harshness is the tyres.
