Hi guys

 

First of all, let me say that I am excited to be part of this forum, even though I am thousands of kms away.

 

I'm from Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm the owner of, what I think might be, the only Polo Genesis in S.A.

 

Some might think that it's a good thing but when it comes to sourcing replacement parts, it sucks. That is why I joined this forum, hoping that I could get some much needed assistance from you guys. If someone could help me with exporting/importing parts at reasonable prices I would be a happy chappy.

 

For starters, I will need a complete engine setup. Now I don't know much about the history of the Genesis but I believe it had a 1.3 motor under the bonnet. At this point I would settle for anything... 1.3, 1.6 etc...

 

The only other option would be to drop a local VW Golf motor into the bay but that will require some modification and honestly that is the last resort.
