Hi there thought I start a build thread from a year ago from when I bought the car. I was 16 what I bought it as a car to learn how to do things on as I had use of a ramp at a local garage as I was a Saturday boy there.  I bought it for 200£ with a months on it!  I then got a mate at work to list everything that would need doing and there was a fair bit but I took it on.  I needed to do starter motor as it was broken and wired up dodgy and a track rod end and new suspension all round which I went for a 60/40 ta technix lowering kit after that a mate done welding to inner and outer both sills which a wasn’t too expensive and was much appreciated as then after a few bulbs and a couple of tyres it passed the mot 

This picture was taken a few weeks after it passed at dubs at the park and I found pictures of some of the rust and me spraying it after my mate had done the welding

What's the plans for it?

It is now lower changed the 60/40 kit to coilovers and is now looking like this and had a long Desmo rack that took a long time to find and had to get posted from Scotland next plan is a new set of wheels as well as that I sorted the rear valance out to there’s no corner missing due to rust and fitted a new exhaust although I might be changing again as I’m not sure on the look think it’s a bit too big forgot to mention I also tidied the engine bay up a bit

Thanks man and yeah i agree sounds alright but is way to big I have a novus exhaust to fit but need a ramp as I’ve lost the one I was using 

You can do an exhaust change without a ramp.

I need to cut the other one off as it’s welded onto the manifold and I don’t have the tools to do that anyway

Put new wheels and tyres on over the Christmas break lowered it more and the new exhaust is now fitted too 

Nice! Jealous of the access you did have to a ramp and tools!

Yeah only half the work I’ve done is on here was in a bit of a state when I bought it 😂

Looking good. What tyres are on there? And what does the new exhaust look like?

155/55/14 tyres and I will get a picture if the exhaust tomoro been meaning to do that
