cam timing wheel - cheap

Featured Replies

I want to check some camshaft dimensions and angles,

http://www.tildentechnologies.com/Cams/Tip_DegreeCam.html

so I thought I need to buy a degree wheel. Like a 360 degree protractor. to attach to cam pulley

Found one then realised it was for an American muscle car and like 9 inches in diameter.

A polo camshaft pulley is 132mm diameter.

Found one for minis, but not sure of the bolt size.

Then found a web app

https://www.blocklayer.com/degree-wheel.aspx

that will create a custom degree wheel marked with your cam events (ATDC BBDC ACDC?) as a PDF to print at any diameter you want (almost).

And suggests CD sized. (hint use the Print Diagrams button, turn off Fit to page when print the saved PDF )

So I did that and glued it to an old PCPro magazine CD..
