Started this few years ago in short the spec will be

 

mk1 polo shell 

berg cup suspension 

hayabusa engine in FWD configuration 

 

this is the car as advertised 

 

Hayabusa engine and loom 

Some very nice repairs on the shell

New bulkhead and stitched front end 

Rear welding and brace 

Some tig welding 

Rear beam 

Shifter 

Top mount mod 

 

now  golf 

Some more bits and bobs 

New coil overs most of the suspension is hand made around mk1 gold components 

The hayabusa is a big lump and just about fits 

New steering arms made in t45 thin wall and en24 plugs all tig welded up....... just look at the welding on the old one  ! 

Engine mounting ! 
 

this will mount a hayabusa engine into any mk1 mk2 polo sits on mk2 escort mounts again t45 thin wall and en24 plugs

very neat. how are you mounting the rad? it doesn't look like she is giving you much room to play with. Any pics of the diff setup?

Ford LSD mk2 shafts cut to length all custom made with DID chain from a drag bike.

Dry sump 

Getting better and better. I was wondering how the gearbox to driveshafts was going to work.

 

Dry sumped  - for slalom, hillclimb? 

bikes tend to have a very deep sump as they need to be narrow. Prob wouldn't fit height wise as standard. Old SAE favorite fiesta RS diff then? looking good

Saw this hayabusa Mk1 Polo at Caffeine & Machine back around New Year, you go yellow before your last post or is it a twin!

 

 

 

Yep ...... I changed the colour so I could find it in a carpark 

 

its been out out a few times .... even shopping in Lidl
