Can brake shoes make a clicking noise?

I had a slight noise from nearside rear, noisier when faster.

I've tightened that bearing a few times since I last changed it maybe 50,000 miles ago.

Advised on MOT.

 

Bashed out the old outer and inner bearing races.

Inner one had some wear.

Fit new bearing inner and outer. It's smoother but there's still a slight click when I spin the wheel. 

 

The shoes worn as the wheel wobbled a bit? Didn't look closely. 

Can the stub axle wear out?
