Found a supercharged blow through carbed engine in a Mercedes Benz S sports car from 1926 in Zagreb's Nikola Tesla museum.

The specs say it is very low compression 6.8 litre 88kw engine (118kw  or ~158bhp with blower, unless it really means 88+118 = 206kw). Looks like 8 cylinders. I like the ribbed charger to carbs feed pipe working as intercooler too.

 

Consumes 29 l/100km or 9.7mpg!
