Weber 32/34 Dmtl jet sizes?

Hello!

 

I have polo mk2 with weber 32/34 dmtl conversion And i am wondering what is good jet sizes

 

Currently i have Swapped 57 idle on primary and its perfect idle now👌🏻

On my polo i have

4-2-1 exhaust manifold and custom exhaust, 268 shrick cam, Ram air air filter, and intake manifold is empty and good flow. Also swapped mk3 polo 5 speedgearbox

 

But i am thinking about main jet and secondary sizes.

Idle main 57 and Sec is webers orginal cant remember :D

Main jet is 110 and sec 125

Main Air correct 155 and 185

Emulsiontube   F22 and sec f30

    No, DCD would need a custom adaptor plate to be made so it can fit the existing inlet manifold in airtight manner. And larger hole made in the top of the inlet manifold to match the twin choke holes.

I think 45 and 70 idle jets usually.

And 120 main secondary.

 

57 sounds high to me. 

Maybe your float level is a bit low.

 

is this a 24-25 choke Weber DMTL?

Numbers in an oval behind choke mechanism.

If larger (like from big Citroen) then yes larger jets would be needed. All about the air speed.

 

Is that with E10 petrol?

I reckon E5 needs about 3% larger jet area 

 

But usually what drives well, passes emissions test and does not smoke is best.

 

Not heard of a 268 Schrick for mk2 mechanical head 8 bolts, going from the round headlights.

280, 292, 296,... yes.

 

Is it a 268/264 for Hydro lifters with

3 bolt cam cover?

 

F22 and F30 emulsion tubes are fine.

I got more 'attack' with F33 in both.

F30 in both is more smooth limousine.

is it a 1.0 or a 1.3 ? I will want to change my Weber 32 for a performance 32/34

A 32/34 DMTL(with 24/25 chokes) is too big for a 1 litre (from single choke Weber 32TLA or TLM).

It would need a 1.3 inlet manifold or an adaptor plate anyway, so why not use a Weber DCD with 22/23 chokes?

There's no choke flap to impede flow for one thing. You could use the carb on another car in future with different chokes.

I did read the thread you linked but I am a little confused.

What about the Weber dcd? Does it exist an adapter kit? What measures?

Mr. Weber was Italian, at least, and so am I 😂

I know I will not take a lot from the 1.0 and a swap (1.6 carb?) will be my goal, but, in the meanwhile..

A carb's float bowl should ideally face towards the front of the car, but DCD would have to be rotated 90 degrees on a Polo with transverse engine (like most front wheel drive cars) versus its common mounting on inline engine.

I'd suggest fitting it so the secondary tube is at the rear position for enrichment when accelerate.

I wonder whether this could be persuaded to fit.

Depends on the bolt pattern of the ICF or DIC used on Fiat 850/1000 and the spacing of the through manifold rods in the Polo.

And might be too high without a bonnet bulge.
