Mk 5 2015 iPhone not working on USB connection

Recently bought a used 2015 VW Polo 1.4TDI

I really like it,

But the bluetooth music quality isn't great and I'd like to use the USB connection to listen to songs on my iphone 15.

But the phone and car cannot talk to eachother,

I know that I can update the software with a SD card but I've really struggled to find the source for the latest build.

I do not have maps on in my car,

I'd really appreciate some information regarding if an update would let my iphone bluetooth in and where the software is store,
