6n polo electric window fault

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

I’ve recently picked up a 1999 6n 16v, which has some issues, with another added to the list this morning!

The passenger side electric window has been really slow when operating, however the drivers side has been fine and still is. This morning the passengers side it went down slightly then stopped (I’d say 85% closed) and now won’t work. There is slight movement up and down so assume the motor etc is fine. What should I be looking for and what could this possibly be?

I thought it may have been because I haven’t driven the car for a week or so, so maybe the battery needed a good run, however even after a decent drive it’s still knackered!

Thanks in advance,

James
