Suspension: -80mm springs and shocks, -15mm(ish) lowering top-mounts at front.

Brakes: Standard.

Wheels and Tyres: 7x13" Superlite alloy wheels (-7 et) 175/50/13 Yokohama A539 tyres, Standard steelies as winter rollers.

Exterior Styling: Resprayed matt black (originally red), Smoked headlights, smoked (clear) indicators, 1/2 smoked rear lights, de-wipered rear, aerial removed, rear washer-jet removed, matt-black VW-roundel, fog-light removed, laser-blue headlight bulbs, sunstrip, 'Club Polo' sticker on rear screen, 'Torque Developments' sticker on sunstrip, bumpers resprayed matt-black, trim sprayed matt-black, rear windows painted matt-black(!).

Interior Styling: Ripspeed gear knob, Ripspeed hand-brake gaiter, Mk2 Golf 16v seats, Removed rear bench, chopped gear-stick, Home-made ICE install in boot.

ICE and Security: 12" Sony Xplod sub (350 WRMS), Sony 1600w mono amp, Kenwood 4x45w headunit, 1.2 farad power capacitor, Pioneer 13cm door speakers, 4 gauge wiring.

Comments: I'm a student so I have had to modify the car on a tight budget. The car cost me £450 (FSH, T+T) back in April '06 and it is my daily driver. I removed all the exterior clutter, filled the holes and resprayed it myself. The wheels are mini fitment so some engineering was required to get them on. My favourite mod is the slammage!

Plans: Cage, buckets, smoother bodywork, G40.

I really like the wheels but can't help thinking the offset is a bit crazy!

Yeah, I got the offset wrong in the previous post, it's -7, not -1. I'll change it now.

Those wheels will have to come off for the MOT! lol. Nice car though can't wait to see pics when you slam it.

MOT is in February, hopefully getting either mk1 Golf arches or mk2 Golf G60 arches fitted before then, so that should sort it.

New badge, I've not seen this done before, probably has been though!

Cheers. TBH all she needs is lowering and it will look perfect I think. I'll probably end up doing quite a lot of smoothing tho!

Updated the spec. It's de-bumpered at the rear ATM, can't decide whether it looks better or not. Will get new pix v. soon, just waiting on a few more mods to arrive.

golf mk1 arch it! looks sweet, loving the rims. Get a phil j 80-70 kit + lowering caps now!!

did you use window film to do the front lights btw?

Already got an 80/80 kit, with lowering top-mounts. Unable to fit though, because the original struts are all rusted into place big time .

I just sprayed the lights black with paint mate. They dont work very well anymore, even with 70/80w blue bulbs. And I never put on full beam in case it burns the paint off!!!

Cheers. I got some variance bolts off ebay. The ride height is now 112mm lower than standard. My downpipe is 3/4 of a inch off the floor. Unfortunately I cant find the lead to plug my phone to the computer, so I cant upload the pix. It is on it's arse!

That is a lovely car, it so needs to be slammed to the gorund though and then it'll look seeeeexxxxyyy!!!!! Keep us updated with more pics :biggrin:

Read my last comment!!! It is slammed to the ground, 112mm. The downpipe is 25/30mm off the ground. It scrapes with the standard 145 profile tyres on it!!!! Cant upload pix at the mo because I've lost my usb lead.
