Featured Replies

nice to see some progress phil.

i think the black mirrors and the b-pillar will work well with the wheels and the whole red-black theme!

Keep us updated

Cheers christian, yeh big changes but in my eyes, all for the better.

The stubby wasnt expensive, like £20 or so quid from german e-bay, but i never got the glass for some odd reason, was suppose too :?

Yeh ross, tryin to get a few more black themed parts, but i think what i have stated will be the end of any coding. May be the end of the bodywork completely. Want to concentrate on gettin the rear seats trimmed, getting the new engine in and a proper install.

Model: Mk5 6n2 1.4 8v Match

Engine: Pretty standard apart from a K&N 57i induction kit, Stainless steel powerflow exhaust system with cat replacement pipe

Suspension: On cheap adjustable suspension at the moment. Prob sitting about 85mm all round

Brakes: Standard!

Wheels and Tyres: 16" Huhrer's (kinda borbet A lookalikes) 195/40/16 on some tasty Dunlop SP9000's

Exterior Styling: Front and rear bumpers fully smoothed, along with the sides and boot. Reiger front splitter. Rear smoked lexus style lights, black angel eyes, gti grille, black badge....i'm sure there is other stuff :smoke:

Interior Styling: Mountney steering wheel, Tints - medium at the front, dark at the back

ICE and Security: Nout!

Comments: Think the spending is over for the moment as i am currently looking at another progect car......hopefully a G60 Rallye :unibrow: but little replacements things are smoked repeaters, s2000 ariel, maybe a gti splitter.

Larger changes for the distant future may be a badboy bonnet, decent install, leather interior and possibly a engine conversion

Anyways heres a couple of pics! I'll get some more up a wee bit later tho!

Dont worry mate, front fogs is always a plan! I'm getting the mirrors coded black, so no point in doing the bases red.

 make me an offer mate

you will need to change the light switch inside as you need to have the one that pulls out, two pulls back for front and rear. it cost need 120 since mine was burnt out lucky the dealer is paying for it. fogs and grills dont cost that much on fleebay

Yup i know mate, did you say it cost you 120 quid for the switch?? or for all the gear in total??

it cost me 120 for an electrician to find the fault with the 79 pound included for the new switch. silly dealer got an electrician to fix a fog light and he didnt do it proply so that bloke is getting the bill

Now then, I'm looking forward to these new changes, especially the wheels :wasted:

You may aswell rape the fog switch gear off a polo from the scrappy for a tenner, its one of them things nobody ever takes :smirk:

Whats this new lump going to be then? and I'm sure you said its going up to around 150bhp too.... all pm's welcome :)

One request to, could you get a square on pic of the back of your motor 'cause i want to see how the exhaust sits as its probably the closest style to the oem exhaust on the golf that I've seen.

Cheers bud

Since i am such a lazy bastard, iv never updated this.

Wheels are on! And really chuffed......ha to tweak around with the suspension loads to get it they way i wanted it without scrubbing too much. I quite like the stance, but defo wnt to be lower at the back....but i suppose that will have to wait till the arches are done

Pics, the day i got the wheels on :unibrow:

had a bit of an accident though, which halted the modifying a little. Reversed into my mates car, damaging his door, wing and my rear bumper. So had to shell out for that!

Picture013.jpg

So in it went to the bodyshop.....managed to get myself a drivers side stubby mirror :-o so decided screw it, fuck gettin it sprayed red, decided to get them in satin black and thought why nor get the pillers done aswell ;)

Picture041.jpg

Picture043.jpg

When i got the car back, i decided to de-wiper her and change the rear lights for some original tinted mk5 rears

Picture042.jpg

Decided against the mk5 rears and bought myself some black hella's which i am away to fit now :-p

hope you enjoyed the recent and latest speil!

Next up, hellas, aero wipers, wind deflectors and *drumroll* ENGINE CONVERSION :-p:-p:-p:-p

Hope you liek the changes

The Hellas will go well with the red!

The Hellas will go well with the red!

Yeh didnt get round to fitting them tonight, cos i assume the fog and reverse will be the wrong way. so will have a bit of wiring to do.

What is the legality with these and the reflectors??

the reflectors have to work for them to pass MOT, the fog has to be on the right hand side as far as i remember. Indicators have to be amber and brake lights have to work. Hope this helps man
