Featured Replies

Model: 2000 1.0 E

Engine: 1.0 MPI

Suspension: Lowered 40mm on standard shocks

Brakes: Standard but recently new brake disks and pads

Wheels and Tyres: 195/45/15's with TSW Razor's

Exterior Styling: Chrome Grille, Alloys, 3rd brake light 'POLO' sticker

Interior Styling: Metal tax disk holder, clubpolo sticker, 3 blue neons down near gearstick

ICE and Security: H&B Head unit w/ USB & SD slots. Standard speakers

Comments: Owned this car for over 2 years now and I'm happy with what i've got for a first car. Slow, but i think its the look of the car that matters the most. Not sure if i am going to modify anymore apart from the induction kit as i want to save for a MK5 GTi. If i were to modify more i'd go lower on coilovers, window tints and a GTi spoiler.

po3.jpg

seriously?

hope your joking mate!!!???

I agree too!

Don't get the induction...pointless on a 1.0 imo and it will save you £150 towards a GTI :)

wannabe-gti: ha no thanks mate think i'll leave the bodykit lol

Mouse GTI: mmm yeah still unsure wether to get it, plus the roads are getting icey now and dont wanna over do it, so will be pointless. I wanna modify mine more but then i stop myself n go 'NO your saving for a gti' haha

Great looking car mate, I've got a 2001 1.0L polo myself, so know the feeling of no power. so have been tryin to make it look good..... have changed the wheels, lowered and added mp3/cd player with i-pod port... after seeing yours given me a few ideas for grill etc and also plan on colour coding....

Any way great work!! nice 2 see a 10L around n especially 1 that looks good!

Nice one m8! Nice and simple. I wouldnt go for the bodykit if i were u! lol

yer i had a 51 reg 1ltr 5door polo lol, sounds like a hairdryer

I thought about making mine looks nice too but i realised it was never to be so i pulled the belt in and got my gti (s)

if i had started off with a 1.4 se or something it wouldnt have been too bad :smirk:

Your car is looking really good though so i bet you dont feel to rushed to get it sold...

thanks guys :)

The grill and the wheels were put on before i joined this site, and now after a year of being on here i dont think i would of gone for the chrome grill and those particular wheels. But if i were to change them now, i'll be breaking my rule of saving for a GTi lol. I've lowered it while on here and i know the people on here love the lowerage haha.

Like i said before, not bad for a first car after i passed my test :) in april would of had it 3 years :)

Yer thats not bad going danny. Same as me I've been driving my 6n2 1.4 16v for 3 months now since i passed in October, and am just in the process of suttley modding it at the mo. Will load up some pics in few weeks.

Good on you saving for the gti!! Thats what i should be doing but cant help but spend.

Emm Did i Hear Sum1 Say 1.0 Polos aint worth doing up??It Keeps My Licence clean for first!! :-D

dubsquad20v: Think its amazing how you've transformed your 1.0 into that, looks like a 1.4, and once you get the front splitter colour coded and your gti spoiler, it will simply be a 1.6 GTi :D Well done mate!

JLock: My wheels or dubsquad20v's? Mine were from Motor World, got them for £360 i think with tyres. Hate the wheels now tho lol

£360 with tyres is a good price .my car is actually quite high in that photo.it was taken before i rolled the arches.now it sits lower.

Yeah it wasnt a bad price at the time, thats why i took them really. I want some RH Cups tho on 195/40/16 tyres.

Quite high in that photo? you gotta be joking lol, how can u get lower than that! haha

soz just another question, how long have you are shocks lasted for after being lowered 40mm? and how much did you are springs cost?

Hi, pretty sure those alloys are keskin's not sure wich model though. Either kt5's or kt8's. Think there 5's. :finger:

Got it lowered in march, still ok they just rattle a bit over bumps in the road. Think they cost £120.
