Thanks for the feedback mate. Just waiting for those 3 extra bods so I can get the wind deflectors on there!

Will look really good when the coilovers are fitted all round and those bbs fitted, i dont think you should take that badge off i think it looks much nicer than the standard silver one, if you haven't allready taken it off, but the car as a whole looks amazing good work

I think my car hates me!

I gave her a clean, fitted the coilovers and the bbs alloys and was feeling very pleased with myself!

And then it all went wrong....

My pedal box has somehow turned itself into a mangled mess and needs replacing!

The guy at the garage says its a common problem on polo's arosa's and lupo's. First I,ve bloody heard of it!

So the car is now useless untill the new pedal box can be fitted wich means removing the steering colum!

This thing really is getting better and better as the days pass by! Thumbsup from me bud :D

Well the pedal box has been fixed and shes back on the roads again!

Coilovers fitted and set as low as they will go with my new BBs RZ's sat nicely in her arches!

Looking very nice slammed on its arse!! Love the new wheels too :)

A GTi front splitter would finish it off nicely

Gti splitter ordered and on the way!

Can't wait to get it on there!

sorry just had a look at the thread

just wanted to ask could anyone re explain how to make a 75bhp into a 100 bhp didnt fully understand?

thanks

Need to put a bigger head like a 1.6 16v (GTi one) and change the camshafts with the pulleys and that should get you somewhere near 100bhp

Bigger head would be awesome but a bit too much work for me!

I intend to change the air intake manifold and throttle body.

Both of wich have come from a 100bhp model.

The new items are bigger and should allow the engine to breath more easily.

This coupled with a re-map should give me over 100bhp when you take into account the exhaust changes and induction kit?

Fingers crossed any way!

Steve, i dont know if you'll see 25bhp from that mate....not overly sure, but i am lookin for a 35 bhp increase on the GTI with BMC, Full stainless exhaust sustem with stainless mani and decat, shrick pulley and cams, and a remap. I am hopin to see 160bhp, but the cams are meant to be a huge difference! They aint cheap though. i'm not sure but i think you might slightly struggle to see 100bhp with that :(

Would need a 2nd oppinion though

I'm being optimistic as there was one guy on here who's standard 75bhp was actually 91bhp!

Apparently they tried to limit the power on the 75bhp model through the ecu but didn't do a very good job.

Cams would be nice as would a head but its all a little out of my league at the moment.

Either way any improvemnt will be a bonus!

Let see the next thing you should do is....Sell me your interior!

You should keep a bit optimistic about it, I'm sure there is a away of breaking out a few more brakehorse out of the engine as there near to being the same apart from a few bits. Good Luck with it, great looking car though.

loose the number plate surrounds, they dont suit the mk5

Thanks for the feedback guys...

Afraid the number plate surrounds will be staying. Even if its just so I can watch people trying to read them at the lights!

Just had to pay out for new rubber so the mods are on hold for the moment.

Fingers crossed i'll get the Gti splitter I oredred today though.

I'm thinking of maybe chopping the roof!

This is how it would look?

I'm usually more into the MK3 and older, but this car just stands out to me for some reason. Very nicely modded, love it!

-and the roof chop looks very nice, surely a HUGE amount of work would be required though?

your thinking of chopping the roof? do you realise how much that would actually cost??

  • Author

Would be a huge job but maybe one day!

I'm more inclined to do my other dream mod of dropping a 1.8t in there complete with a 4wd system!

Once again it won't be cheap!
