Are those steels 14"? If so, did you need / bother to get your speedo matched up to them?

Very tidy coupe by the way!

Cheers matey :-D

I've not had the clocks recalibrated.

I find that the new tires match the speed better than the standard tires.

standard tire size is 155/70/13, and i'm running 185/55/14

Tires aren't much out anyway. I just drove about with a sat nav and now i know what speed i'm doing when my speedo says 30, 40, 70 etc

Cool, cheers for the info. Hopefully getting some nicer wheels soon to replace my 14" standard steelies but didn't want to have my speedo read incorrectly!

Hmm i really dunno if i like CC'd bumpers or just black ones :S, car looks great though mate. I think maybe some more lowerage on the front , but you might have to get some smaller profile tires. Then maybe some 10mm spacers to get some stance going?

Cheers dude :)

Have to say i wouldn't go back to plain black bumpers again.

Lowering the front is something which is on the plans, along with new seats, new exhaust, and maybe some alloys.

My 2p: I think the bumpers look truely fantastic on Mike's car, on other colour cars CC'd bumpers look less good - white looks terrible IMO. Red seems to be (for me) the only colour that it works on.

Well done Mike - looks awesome!!

Nice Work!!

Just a quick question, how did you colour your bumpers and wing mirrors? Where did you get the fog lights from in the earlier pics, looking at getting some for my bready. I'm also in the Blackpool area, will look out for your car now. :)

Cheers :)

Bumpers were done by sanding down the texture with 100grit, 3 layers of upol filler primer, 2 layers of red plastic primer, 3 layers of red paint, then 2 layers of lacquer. I smoothed over with wet 1500 on each set of paint. Took me about a week to do them, and i'm not totally happy with them. Fogs were just some generic lamps from kwik fit.

Were in blackpool you from, i'm down by preston new road.

Cheers, might use your method but give them a black coating as mine going lighter grey. I'm down near the Fleetwood end, have a red mk3 bready.

Spent a fair few hours over the past 3 days sorting out the crease on rear panel (and I seriously hate filler)

Paint looks all spotty as it's drying!
