Thought i'd update a bit since the purchase of a new camera. Some of you might have seen it in the flesh at All Types a couple of weeks ago.

Bit of a dull vid, whilst i was checking my gauges and rev counter all worked after plumming them in.

Sweet 8-)

great looking car Nick, are you rather knowledgable with the polo engines and things?

i am in stockport manchester and in the process of carrying out an AFH into a mk3 polo, any help you may be able to offer would be grateful.

i think i have most things covered, but if i come across any problems can i give you a shout?

do you ever go to any meets?

try here for local people.

www.mancunion.tk bit quiet at times, but we do get together at salford quays.

cheers

Rick

I was surprised you sold up after a few niggles. I had a few with mine too, but its been worth it in the end. You could always sell the Lancia?

What wing mirrors are on it now?

I'm looking for an upgrade on my Coupe S, as the standards are shocking.

OZ 180 - are they the flat monoblocks or the new shiny wheels?

They are '81-'82 spec mk2 mirrors.

oz type 018a are the wheels fitted to the car in the above picture, i also have a set, sold a set to josh gt, another set is owned by kenno

I thought as much, I read it as though the "Le Castellets" (correct me if I'm wrong) were the OZ Types and I was very confused!

Ill have to be on the lookout for those mirrors, I'm guessing they're pretty darn rare, gonna have a bash at modifying the baseplates on some mk2 Rocco mirrors, if i can get my hands on some!

Btw I'm thinking maybe 10-20mm spacers on the back, by the looks of that picture the fronts stick out too far for me in comparison to the back

other than that... grrrreat looking car.

I saw this at the polo show on sunday i couldnt stop looking at it, i think its pretty much perfect shame i didnt get to see under the bonnet first hand and love all the little rare bits that make it stick out.

^^ Its ridiculous that i didn't get to see this at the Poloshow. I missed that side of the field after a glimpse over Bluey when i first turned up,yet this S was in my top five essential butchers list. I expected it to be in the Show'n'shine but obviously not,and id left Billing for a barbie before i realised id missed it.

Having missed it at the RR day too,it'll be my first port of call next time I'm anywhere near it..

''I think I'll have to review my compressor option though, as its not producing the boost as my other 1272cc lump did with this charger.

It has been a well worked engine though with high power in mind, so it'll take to a bigger blower with ease.''

Kenne bell?

Well done with this car mate, looks like a really well put together project. And that engine! Oh my...
