22 years of Full Service History

A Stunning example of an appreciating classic, with or with out bumpers on!

I have owned this Mk1 Golf for a little while, during which time no expense or time has been spared fixing it and keeping it in excellent condition.

Engine (mint condition)

Has a tidy engine bay. (i.e. have cleaned, tidied the wires, hoses, engine bay, painted the fan and cover and replaced lots of parts etc..

Parts I have replaced are:

Air filter, Radiator, Most of the water-cooling hoses, All the fuel hoses, Fuel pump, Spark plugs, HT leads, Fuel filter, Battery, Refurbished carb, Oil filter, Distributor cap, Have fitted a battery back-up system to car (just in case the central locking keyfob battery dies), Intake hoses x 2, fan belt, Clutch, Speedo cable.

The Engine has been upgraded to a 1272cc from Mk2 Polo. This now has 104,000 miles on it, and the carb has been replaced with the auto 2E2 pierburg on the Mk2 Golf,

The Gearbox has been upgraded to a 5-speed box. This means it will happily sit at motorway speeds without revving, unlike the original 4-speed box the car came with.

Exterior (mint condition)

It was treated to a full respray in its original RARE colour. The colour is Papyrus Green. A beautiful metallic colour,

The Bootlid has been de-locked and debadged,

I have replaced the original exterior trim with chrome trim all the way round,

The chrome on the door handles has been chequered,

A new aerial has only just been fitted,

The 4 light grille has been replaced with the 2 light grille with the chrome VW badge and black surroundings.

The standard front headlights have been replaced with the clear crystal hair-cross headlights,

The standard indicators have been replaced with clear crystal indicators,

Small chin spoiler on the front,

V.A.G Glass Sunroof, which is manufacture fitted,

Very RARE 13" ATS alloy wheels. Similar to Porsche 15” Teledials wheels, I have never seen another set of these wheels before. All four tyres have lots of thread left,

As far as I know and can see, it has never been welded and there is no rust in the car. It has been well protected underneath regularly with waxoyl,

The car comes with the number plate A44 EPD. This has recently been valued at £350

Interior (excellent, tidy and RETRO)

Excellent condition dash with new dash vents and small chrome surrounds on the console and the side air vents.

An almost perfect original interior, - drivers seat has a worn rip which is usual for this age,on upper side but have repaired it so it is not that noticeable,

The door cards have been replaced with RARE brown leather door cards. And the other entire interior has been replaced with the same colour.

All the electrics works,

The door are fitted with central locking, which I got professionally done,

I also had a dash fire over Christmas while driving, SCARY STUFF!!! Have got that all fixed. The whole wire loom has been replaced and fitted professional and all properly fused. I have been told that this is a common fault, as VW did not fuse the headlight switch. Have it done.

HAs a 8-ball for a gear knob,

Pioneer CD player, with standard door speakers all in working order.

its my brothers car and thought he would post some pics on here! he looking for around £2000, but I'm think he is really interested in a px for something slightly newer!
