Hello,

I am looking at buying a mint 23K mile 2000 reg 1.4 Polo, however the gearbox is making a noise and it all points to the riveted CWP (a quick search on here uncovered that problem).

Is it an easy repair? and inportantly once it is fixed will the problem be solved for good?

What I am wondering is do they drill out the rivets and replace them with threaded fasteners?
